Dhaulagiri is extended 70 miles from the Kali Gandaki river to Bheri in west. And here lies the world’s seventh highest peak Dhaulagiri-I which is elevated at 8,167m. Dhaulagiri has the rightful name. The name is derived from Sanskrit where ‘Dhawala’ means beautiful, white, and dazzling and ‘Giri’ means Mountain. The mountain range around Dhaulagiri is truly inspiring and beautiful. Dhaulagiri-I (8,167m) was first sumited by Swiss/Australian/Nepali Expedition in May 13, 1960. This region incorporates more than 30 peaks over 6000 mountains and eight of them is elevated more than 8000m.

Trekking to Dhaulagiri is one of the most difficult and adventurous journeys. The nature, local culture, view of mountains and the locale community is truly and indeed something to be explored. But, to trek to Dhaulagiri you must have good physical condition and should know more about mountains and the weather. Once you have all these, you are ready to be stunned by the beautiful nature and mountains panoramas. If you are truly seeking to explore and trek through rough trails, unexplored remote villages and want to get the mind-blowing views of nature and Mountain panoramas. Dhaulagiri Trekking is best fit for you.
