From the above distance calculation, it is clear that the total distance covered during the 07-day Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek is 400 kilometers. However, the total distance traveled for proper hiking on days 6 and a half is 193 kilometers of proper hiking for an average of 6-7 hours a day. The overall distance covered for the 6 and a half days of hiking was 60 kilometers, which required an average of 5-6 hours per day of hiking.
The best time to trek to Annapurna Base Camp is during the pre-monsoon season (March to May) and the post-monsoon season (September to November). Fly to Kathmandu, Nepal: Most international flights arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. You can also take a flight to Pokhara, a city located near the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Get the necessary permits: To trek to Annapurna Base Camp, you need to obtain two permits:
the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card. You can get these permits at the Nepal Tourism Board office or the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) office in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Travel to Nayapul: Nayapul is the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp trek.
You can take a local bus or hire a private vehicle from Pokhara to Nayapul, which takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Trek to Annapurna Base Camp: The trek to Annapurna Base Camp usually takes around 7 to 12 days, depending on your pace and itinerary. The trek passes through beautiful forests, terraced fields, and traditional Gurung villages before reaching the base camp at an altitude of 4,130 meters. Today, we will pick you from Hotel and drop to Kathmandu domestic Airport in a private vehicle and from here we will take a flight to Pokhara. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the beautiful valley Pokhara b air.
On reaching Pokhara, we will drive to siwai from where our actual trekking begins. Walking through the green forests and small settlements for about 3 hours we will reach Chhomrong. This place offers us the spectacular views of the White Mountains in Annapurna Region. Additionally, you will get a chance to witness the lifestyle and culture of Gurung people.
Overnight in Mountain Lodge, Meals Included – Breakfast and Dinner
Today after breakfast we will continue our trek to Himalaya. Firstly, descending through stone-paved stairs to Chhomrong River and we ascend to Khuldi Ghar. Then we will cross a suspension bridge and walk on a gradually inclined trail. On today’s walk we will traverse through the Sinwa nad Bamboo villages and finally reach Himalaya.

As always, after having breakfast in the early morning we will continue our journey to the Base Camp of Annapurna. Today is the day to reach ultimate destination of our 7 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. After some gradual ascends and descends we will reach ABC that offers awesome panoramic views of Annapurna itself and Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Gandarbha Chuli and Himchuli etc.
If the sky remains clear, we can also witness excellent sunset view from here.

We will wake up in the early morning to witness mesmerizing sunrise view over glorious mountain peaks. Today we will have comparatively easier and short trek. Most of the trail we follow descends today through the lush forests of oak, pine and Rhododendron.
Overnight in Mountain Lodge, Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Leaving Sinuwa, we will first walk downhill in a stone staircase and again climb uphill till we reach Chhomrong. Then we will walk to the beautiful Jhinudanda which is famous for natural hot water spring. We will enjoy in the hot water spring located near village and return to Jhinu at evening.
Overnight in mountain lodge, Meals Included- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
This is our final day of walking in this incredible short Annapurna Base Camp Trek. On this day, we will trek to Siwai through the lush forests and it will take about 4 hours to reach there. We will observe the natural wonders that were missed while walking uphill. On reaching siwai we will then drive to Pokhara valley in a private vehicle.
Overnight in 3 star rated hotel, Meals Included- Breakfast and Lunch
On the final day of our 7 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek, we will drop you to Tribhuwan International Airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Or, you can extend the holiday and join some short sightseeing tour with us in Kathmandu valley.
If it’s too much to carry from your home country some of the necessary equipment can be hired or bought in Kathmandu around Thamel as well.
