Moreover, you will also be introduced with the countryside lifestyles and unique cultures and traditions of local peoples residing in the trekking route to Nagarkot.
Our Chisapani Nagarkot Hiking starts with a short drive to Sundarijal, from where we will begin walking on foot. We traverse through the lush forests in Shivapuri National Park that is habitat for hundreds of rare animals and bird species. This route is also taken as the best destination near Kathmandu valley for bird watching lovers.
These 6 days of Chisapani Nagarkot Hike not only takes you to hiking, it offers best chances to explore the ancient and most famous pilgrimage sites in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. Most of them are enlisted as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. On your sightseeing tour in Kathmandu you will visit;
This is a famous pilgrimage site of Hindu devotees, where thousands of people makes pilgrim every year. The main temple is not allowed to enter for non-hindus. But, you can observe the alluring and exciting views of the surrounding in Pashupatinath Region.
These are the famous Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal. Here, you can see hundreds of Buddhists praying every day. Bouddanath is the largest stupa of the world. And Swoyambhunath is famous as The Monkey Temple.
These are the ancient Durbar (Palaces), built by the kings who once ruled in the small kingdoms – Kantipur and Patan. You can observe beautifully designed buildings, Temples and statues of gods in these areas. Especially, exploring the wooden carves and designs on the Palace area are exciting thing here.
Not only these, you will also visit another famous Hindu pilgrimage site – Changunarayan (UNESCO world heritage site) on the returning journey. Thus, Short hike to Nagarkot via Chisapani is a wonderful trip that let you chance to conclude the thirst of trekking and cultural tour at the mean time.
After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and then transferred to hotel. Relax in the leisure time. We will host welcome dinner tonight.
Overnight at Hotel, Meals Included- Dinner
After having breakfast in Hotel, we start sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley to the most famous travel destinations. Almost our entire destination is enlisted as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will make a visit to Pashupatinath Temple (Famous Hindu Pilgrimage site), Bouddanath (Largest Busshist Monastery in world), Swoyambhunath Chaitya (Monkey Temple) and some ancient palaces like Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square if time permits. At noon, you will be introduced to our trekking guide and porters and discuss our upcoming trip in office.
Overnight in 3 star rated hotel, Meals Included- Breakfast
After having breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu, we will start driving to Sundarijal that takes around one hour before starting hike. Firstly, we will gradually climb upward through pine and oak forests of Shivapuri National Park. This national park is also considered as the best destination for bird watching near Kathmandu valley. On reaching to Chisapani, we will be rewarded with incredible mountain vistas and warm hospitality of Sherpa people.
Overnight in Teahouse/Local Lodge, Meals Included- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Leaving Chisapani we will traverse through the lush forests and small countryside villages. The first half of hiking takes us to Chauki Bhanjyang where we will stay for lunch and continue our trek for another 3 hours to reach Nagarkot. After reaching Nagarkot hill we can explore Himalayan ranges stretching from Dhaulagiri to the top highest mountain of the world – Mount Everest. We can explore mesmerizing sunset view from here.
Overnight in Hotel, Meals Included- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We will wake up early in order to witness the tantalizing sunrise over white snow-clad mountain peaks. After spending some precious time here, we will continue to hike toward the famous temple – Changunarayan. This temple is also enlisted as world heritage site by UNESCO. Once we reach here, we will explore the temple and return Kathmandu in a private vehicle. You can relax in hotel in leisure time or catch final hour shopping before returning your homeland.
Overnight in Kathmandu (Hotel), Meals Included- Breakfast and Lunch
Today is the end of our Short Hike in Kathmandu. We will drop you off to Tribhuwan International Airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight or you can join other short hiking or sightseeing tour with us if you can manage some more holidays to spend in Nepal.
